Here are some tips to help you feel the best for your boudoir photoshoot.
Do:
Smooth Operator: I recommend waxing or sugaring a few days prior to your boudoir experience. Rest assured though, if you prefer some body hair, that's totally fine with me. Remove or don't, whatever makes you comfortable. Just note that anything you don't remove will be in the photos - there is no "photoshopping it out."
Nail It: If you are wondering what to do with your nails, I suggest keeping it simple and elegant with a neutral polish – this will ensure that your nails match all of your outfits.
Bring Outfits You Love: You don't have to buy everything new but make sure that the outfits you are bringing don't look worn and represent who you are today. I love closet shopping for items like jackets and knee-high stocking. If you are shopping, choose outfits that fit well and feel well.
Share the Love: Build your personal hype-squad! Share the excitement with your best friends, your mom, or whomever – those who'll cheer you on and gush over your stunning photos.
Glow Up: Exfoliate your skin for a radiant glow, and indulge in a thick moisturizer. You'll be amazed at the luminous results. I recommend these Amazon exfoliation mitts.
H20: Drink some damn water! Water is good for everything and you should be drinking it anyways but especially before your boudoir shoot to make your skin look super lush.
Don't:
Tan Tactfully: Go easy on the spray tan. While a golden glow is fabulous, don't experiment with spray tans for the first time before your session. It can lead to streaks or orange residue all over my studio. Stick to what you know if you're a tanning regular.
Natural Beauty: Avoid out of the ordinary beauty changes. This isn't the moment for drastic changes. Skip the last-minute botox, fillers, or radical hairstyles. Let your regular beauty shine – this is about capturing the real, authentic you.
Quality: Your boudoir session is a luxury experience, and it's worth every penny. Saving up for what you really want ensures you get every moment's worth. I offer payment plans to make it easier on your budget.
Remember, this is your time to shine, to celebrate your unique beauty and journey. Follow these do's and don'ts, and you'll step into your boudoir session with confidence, radiance, and the assurance that you're making memories to last a lifetime.
